SERDANG: Malaysia has been chosen to host the Unesco Asia-Pacific Conference on Education and Training (ACET).
Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said the conference, themed 'Making Skills Development Work for the Future', will see participation of more than 1,000 people from 48 countries.
Muhyiddin, who is also the Education Minister said it would serve as a platform for the ministry in executing its strategies in Vocational Education Transformation Plan and Malaysia Education Development Plan (Higher Education).
The conference will be held at Berjaya Times Square Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur from August 3 to 5.
"The trust given on the ministry to host the international conference is an acknowledgement to our ongoing commitment and efforts in transforming the national education," said Muhyiddin in his speech at the ministry's Service Excellence Awards held at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, here today.
